Here’s a little backstory of us. Jaffna Art Festival started as an idea of our founder Arnold Anandan. Since 2006, we are doing many charities to the world via our main partners Tamil Aid. Our unique way to raise the funds is, to organize contests. Through contests, we used to challenge and encourage the people to show their talents to this world. Our Tamil aidteam works around the clock to ensure your safety and protect against fraud. With Fourteen years of experience and the most money raised, Tamil aid has earned the trust of respected institutions and government officials around the world. Tamil aid has spent the last 14 years on finding a better way of doing things.
This contest is a non-profit initiative, run by Jaffna Artist Festival membership. Our idea is to evoke artistic activities. Together, we create space to take creative initiatives and promote new trends in Photography & Art. We strive to inspire participants to improve their photographic & Art skills and develop their vision. We believe that each participant has potential and talent waiting to be discovered. Jaffna Art Festival is a platform, that allows you to gain experience and enter the world of professional photography & Art. Artists have the opportunity to push their careers forward and be recognized by art galleries, curators, media, and cultural institutions from all over the world.
Planned in 2019 by Jaffna Art Festival, the Jaffna Art Festival Talents Award rewards the world’s most distinctive artists and image-makers creating outstanding works showing their individual way of seeing the world. Each individual is challenged every year to submit their work. The 2020 theme is "Seeing Beyond : Discoveries". Submissions will be judged by experts in the industry. The Jaffna Art Festival Talent Award seeks to celebrate those Photographers & Artists pushing the boundaries of creativity of their medium while demonstrating a strong visual narrative.
